Terms of Engagement
Last updated: 10 June 2026
These Terms of Engagement set out how All Trucks Insurance works with you, our responsibilities to you and yours to us, how we are paid, and how to contact us or make a complaint. They should be read together with our Financial Services Guide (FSG) and the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) and policy wording for any insurance we arrange.
About Us
All Trucks Insurance is a trading name of Connect Business Pty Ltd (T/as Connect Business Insurance), Corporate Authorised Representative No 1241963, ABN 59 612 031 964, of Community Broker Network Pty Ltd ACN 096 916 184, AFSL 233750.
We are insurance brokers. We act on your behalf to arrange insurance that suits your needs, using our knowledge of the transport and heavy vehicle sector and our access to a range of insurers.
Any general advice we provide does not take into account your objectives, financial situation or needs. You should consider the relevant PDS, the policy wording and our FSG before deciding whether a policy is right for you.
Our Duty to You
As your broker, we act in your best interests when arranging your insurance. We will use reasonable skill and care to understand your requirements, recommend appropriate cover and help you manage your risks.
Your Duty of Disclosure
Before you enter into, vary, renew, extend or reinstate a policy, the law imposes a duty in relation to the information you give your insurer. For most commercial insurance you have a duty of disclosure to tell the insurer everything you know, or could reasonably be expected to know, that is relevant to its decision to insure you and on what terms.
This duty continues at each renewal and whenever you vary your cover. If you do not comply with your duty, the insurer may reduce or refuse to pay a claim, or cancel your policy. If your failure is fraudulent, the insurer may treat the policy as if it never existed.
If you are unsure whether something should be disclosed, please tell us and we will help you decide.
Quotations
When we arrange or renew your insurance we approach the market on your behalf and, where appropriate, obtain quotations from a range of insurers. For some specialist covers only a limited number of insurers are willing or able to offer terms, and in those cases the choice of insurer may be limited.
Renewals
We will usually contact you ahead of the expiry of your policy to confirm your details and discuss your renewal. It is important that you respond so we can arrange continuous cover and update any changes to your circumstances.
If we do not hear from you, some policies may lapse at expiry and others may renew automatically on the insurer's terms. We will tell you which applies to your policy at renewal.
Cancellation
If you wish to cancel a policy, please let us know in writing. Where a refund of premium is available from the insurer, it will be returned to you net of any fees and commission we have earned in arranging the cover, to the extent permitted by law and the insurer's terms.
Payment Terms
Premiums are due by the date shown on your invoice. If a premium is not paid on time, the insurer may be entitled to cancel the policy or refuse to pay a claim.
Premium funding may be available to help you spread the cost of your insurance over instalments. Premium funding is provided by a third-party funder and interest and fees may apply. We can explain the options and arrange funding if you ask us to.
Claims
If you need to make a claim, contact us as soon as possible. We will help you prepare and lodge your claim, forward the relevant documents to your insurer and act as your advocate throughout the claim process.
How We Are Paid
We are usually paid by commission from the insurer when you enter into or renew a policy we arrange. The commission is a percentage of the premium (excluding government charges and taxes) and varies depending on the insurer and the type of policy.
We may also charge a broker fee for arranging your insurance. Any fee will be advised to you and shown separately on your invoice before you proceed. If premium funding is arranged, we may receive a commission from the funder. The exact amounts that apply to your policy are set out in our Financial Services Guide and on your invoice.
Ongoing Service
You can contact us by phone or email during business hours and we aim to respond to enquiries within one business day. We are here to help with policy changes, certificates of currency, claims and any questions about your cover.
Complaints and Dispute Resolution
We are committed to resolving any concerns quickly and fairly. If you have a complaint, please contact us and we will acknowledge it promptly and work with you to resolve it through our internal complaints process.
If we cannot resolve your complaint to your satisfaction, you may refer it to the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA), an external dispute resolution scheme. AFCA can be contacted on 1800 931 678, by email at info@afca.org.au, in writing to GPO Box 3, Melbourne VIC 3001, or at www.afca.org.au. Our AFCA membership is held through our licensee, Community Broker Network Pty Ltd.
Professional Indemnity Insurance
We hold professional indemnity insurance that satisfies the requirements for compensation arrangements under section 912B of the Corporations Act 2001. This cover is subject to its terms and conditions and extends to claims arising from the conduct of representatives who no longer work for us, where we remain responsible for that conduct.
Privacy
We collect and handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect your information and how you can access or correct it. You can read it on our Privacy Policy page.
Period of Engagement
Your appointment of us as your broker is ongoing until you tell us otherwise. You may end our engagement at any time by notifying us in writing. For more information about our services and how we are paid, please refer to our Financial Services Guide.
